My love and I never go for the commercial celebrations. We find our own way of making it special, and money usually doesn't come into that. I got a very sweet and funny card from him. And since he managed to forget his lunch for 3 days in a row now, I left him about 6 notes this morning to remind him. On his glasses, his wallet, his keys, the coffee and the door... :) He has to start very early each morning, but I am certain he had a laugh. :D

Thanks eva. I'm going to have the same thing. The ignition has been damaged so they've towed it to a recovery yard. Just waiting to see what the damage is and how much to fix that. More than anything it's the inconvenience of having to deal with police (who were amazing, btw) and insurance companies before I had my breakfast! Many years ago I had a cara accident in which a brand new car was totalled, and as I looked at the shiny pieces of engine on the pavement my firts thought (after-"Wow, I'm still alive!") was that our 19 year old cat had come home from the hospital the day before and was going to survive. Much more important. As much as possible have the insurance people take care of things-god knows we pay them for it!

I am all about using words for their true meaning... I mean a wonderful woman from my childhood explained to me (in the 70's) between the n word and colored people and afro-americans, but she taught me respect for the person

that word to date is only offensive. some women like to be called a bitch, some men for that factor. But where did it come from?

When I make candies for family, I just use a double boiler and melt chocolate chips w/ 1/2 tsp evap milk. Goes on and dries firm (not messy), but everone says it tastes good!

Transmission problems. For about a month, sometimes when you put it in reverse then into drive, it would not go anywhere. Had to downshift and play with it until it kicked in gear. Last Friday it just stopped doing anything. Had to have it towed...

Well, Anj, they replaced an ignition switch in the steering column yesterday and kept it overnite for "observation". Ran it this morning and thought it was OK, but then went to park it and it would not move (like it did for me). They said they will rebuild the trans and update it with all current new parts....

well, i'm trying to at least learn from past mistakes. when i do something wrong in a relationship, i usually tend to want to fix it really fast, and i just end up making things worse. this time i am trying really hard to tread softly, be patient, and let things take their course. but it is hard to fight my natural tendencies.
