The insurance thing is worked out - just for way less money than needed, which is why they call it 'insurance' and not something like, say, 'fair.' Went to court on 3/1 and prevailed there. Tonight a massage therapist spent an hour inventorying damage in places that I didn't even know I had places. I'm sure she helped me ultimately but a couple times I thought I would faint from the pain. She said "not again for two weeks" and I said NO ARGUMENT FROM ME!

A gal ran a stop sign about five weeks ago and I plowed into her. Totaled her car, and semi-totaled my back. Sprains in neck and low back, surely could have been worse. But since I have no health insurance and have been preoccupied with things like financial survival and court battles (though Sprite - it WAS fun listening to the judge dispense reality to this little gal - also found out she's gotten 14 pts on her license in 8 months, bye-bye license) that I haven't done much to take care of me. Muscles compensating in the wrong ways, lots of tension and strain. Now I'm working on getting myself better.

I'm soooo sorry Grif. Do you have something for pain -- it's pretty important in the beginning, so your body can heal. Later you can taper off. You probably know that, I just hate for people to resist pain meds. No insurance is terrible. You poor thing... I hope you are finding ways to get the kind of rehab you need.

I didn't want to take something heavy for pain relief - I'm here by myself with Hunter depending on me, needing to continue to work (no leave benefits either) or lose pay, etc. - so just took Celebrex which the initial doc (worthless) gave me as samples (so he wasn't completely worthless). I don't have the wherewithal to pursue healing in quite the way I would have in better life circumstances, but I'll get there.

Yo u know what is best for you, but meds are often not problematic when you have a considerable amount of pain -- you just feel a bit more normal... I'm just a little worried about you I guess. I've sort of been there. It's great that court is over and you don't have that stressor. Of course you will figure it out and I know you will get better bit by bit.

Miyavi-fan is a 14 year old schoolgirl from England. Her teacher is also on babble as are some of her friends. She is extremely bright and very interested in all things Japanese. She is, by her own admission, self-absorbed, as are a lot of girls her age. Recently another person, LEMONed, a 15 year old Japanese boy, over in England with his family has started on babble. He and Miyavi got on well etc. He has had various trials and tribulations, but yesterday someone accused Miyavi of being LEMONed and of trying to play a joke on all of us. She protests her innocence, others aren't so sure.

Good morning everyone. I've been thinking since last night about the situation with Miyavi. I find what happened disturbing. What began the whole upset was one person, just one, who suddenly popped up and accused Miyavi of being a fake. I can't remember the name of the accuser, but it was someone I had never seen before. That started the ball rolling. That's giving a lot of power to one accusation. In addition, I really don't care whether what everyone says here is true or not. There was no attempt to get money, etc. It seems to me that the accuser should have been asked immediately what her or his motivation was and where they got their information from. I'm sorry that MIyavi was hurt in all of this.

I worked with rocks for yearrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs and I've made flower planters buy drilling large holes in them. I've made birdhouses with them and PICTURE FRAMES and kleenex boxes and all kinds of stuff. Even a lamp. I polish all the rocks and use a wet look sealer on them.

Hi All - Smithchick -how about dries pasta/ Lots of shapes and they can be painted. There is a way of dyeingthe pasta that involves food colouring and gin but I don't know the quantities. If it needs to be quick drying how about spray paints? Old necklaces can provie 'jewels' as can sequins. There are loads of silk or dried flowers about too.

You could spray paint vast amounts of pasta quite cheaply. Gold & silver work well and they do stick easily with a glue gun. Old greetings cards would make nice collage frames that you could varnish over
