Great macuser! Just be cautioned that I really am very, very clueless about how to navigate. Anyway, my photos are stored in iphoto, and every time I try to follow the directions on the profile page it imports the URL for iphoto or something, rather than anyspecific photo. I don't understand how to give my pictures web addressess which is what seems to be required. Thatw as probably very stupidly explained, but there you go.

I'm using "select an image from your computer" and then "browse" which is what it says - and then a list of my photo files shows up and if I click on one of the photos, it imports some strange URl into the space provded on the update page, then spins out for a long time and then gives me a blank icon.

Eva. I use iPhoto too. Export the photo to your desktop (or some other photo). When I do that, when I select it from the "browse" option on "my profile" page it is automatically assigned a url that is understood. Be sure when you export it (an option under File in iPhoto) to save it as a .jpg

big ones. Having the usual spring dilemma of knowing how much my cat would love to go outside, and also knowing how short lived (literally)that pleasure might be, and how big the loss for us. He is our only cat, and deeply loved. And the coyotes are so close to the house. My next door neighbor has had most of her cats eaten. So he'll probably remain an indoor cat, with just walks on his harness. But I am building him (and us) a screen porch.

Eva... we have indoor cats and outdoor cats... but they are not hunted by other preditors!! I was devistated by my darling cat LIA being accidentally killed by the vet in November... still not over it!! Love your animals and appreciate all you have! Anything can happen...

Eva... our poor cat got a tick and we took her to the vet for the anti-tick serum... it killed her and another poor lady's cat!! We were so upset... the vet has the whole thing in check and is chasing up the drug company becuase there was a problem with the anti-serum... the vet is so upset, as are we!
Lia was our baby for 10 years!! The vet is so outraged that the drug company didn't care, he has reported them.... 2 cats dead in 15 minutes from the same vial of serum is not right!!!!

Terrible. And to have no warning and time to say goodbye. Of course you're not over it!

Merp had a bad reaction to a rabies shot several years ago and since then I have always requested the live vaccine-which causes less problems. Actually, at this point he doesn't get the shots. More and more vets are saying that if a cat gets the shots for the first few years of their lives the protection lasts forever.

FMithc-at night sometimes it feels like being in the Hounds of the Baskervilles. Very eerie and fascinating at the same time. There is the howling, and then the excited yipping when they make a kill. I've never actually seen them though. But I have seen the fisher cats which are equally deadly.

yeah... the vet is so sad about everything in hindsight... they would have thrown away the vial and opened a new one for the other cat... but it wasn't even thought about because in 12 years, only 1 other cat has died from the tick serum... it was horrid for the vet, for the other cat owner and us!!

the vet was not at fault... they were up front from the start... very loving to animals and respectful to us... we have kids and they were the first to be consoled by the vet! We even got a letter and card of sympathy for our loss. No hard feelings there.
Lia was the princess! She got everything she wanted. We loved her so much and she loved us back... it is very sad!

mrpresident, was just reading the log--what a sad sad story re your kitty . . . reminds me of my mom's springer spaniel Rosebud who, many years ago, went to the vet to be spayed when she was about 5--something went wrong and she hemorhhaged and died and it was such a shock to us and to the vet . . . he drove to my mom's house to tell her what happened and they wept together . . . later his wife wrote a poem about Rosebud and sent it to Mother . . . vets are incredible people . . . don't know how they do what they do . . .

tee hee* its the back of my house. I, yes I built the arbor last summer with the help of my friend John. I did 99% of all the work. It took me all summer but then I also put up a privacy fence with a private garden just for me. My yard actually has chain link fence so I wanted some privacy for me to go sit outside. Big job. I ran the tractor. Dug all the post holes all 46 of them and I did the entire roof over the arbor myself.

the WMH is this house is Santa Clara California that was built by the Winchester family of the Winchester rifle company. Well, when Mr. Winchester bit the big one, his wife got it in her head that she would never die if she kept building on the house. She also thought that the spirits of all the people killed by winchester rifles were haunting her. So, she built this house, it's huge. It once stood at seven stoires tall, but in 1909 earthquake, the upper three stories fell down. But it's been repaired and its really weird. Staircases that go nowhere, doors that go no where, hidden passages, one way doors, and tiny little doors for Mrs. Winchester, cause she was short. Very odd, but very interesting. :)

yeah, maybe in japan ramen are nice but here they have these flavor packets with who knows what in them, and you rehydrate the noodles with boiling water and add the flavor packet, which is a powder

Lo, yes. iTunes usually establishes a library in your 'My Documents' folder. You can use this, or, as I have done, created a seperate file elsewhere to store tracks. The tracks need to be uploaded onto you hard drive somewhere or iTunes can't play them. If you've deleted tracks without moving them to folders you may need to upload them again : )

I share superficial things but think it's not a good idea to tell the log when I am upset, or injured, or out of the house for six weeks, or when my husband is away. Those are all basic Internet safety rules. Maybe we should remind each other periodically?
