Oh, poor Eva *hug*. It's been a long time for me, but as a kid they were worse than imaginable torture. Can't look up down, straight, sideways, move, anything. Only time I have felt that bad other than migraine was when I had strep for two weeks and waited way too long to go to doc (hoped it would go away :() Fevered for days, hallucinated, and in general was stupid.

I opted to go with the antibiotics because we'll be flying and right now is no time to take chances, but luckily he doesn't get these often and he has recovered without antibiotics a couple of times... but another time his eardrum burst... but of course then he immediately felt vastly better as well.

Back just for a sec to say: Good news! He has woken up (JUST as I was about to go reload the dishwasher and check to see if you need to get meat), an is still miserable but he is sitting up and talking about stuff, wanted to watch ice age instead of huddle on me with his face in his hands, and is finally drinking some water willingly, even eagerly, instead of having to literally be forced to. I have just given him a paracetamol and some of the lidocaine ear drops as well. he has a fever of 38.3, two tenths lower than it was. Maybe he's turned teh corner!
