oh that's interesting, bichon. hobbit really turned into a different dog. I really didn't like her much as a puppy, she was nervy and hyper and Hard Work. About 2 weeks after Jake died, she just seemed to realise she was the only dog now, and didn't need to always be looking around for Jake stealing her toys etc. And immediately she just *settled*
