There's a nice looking book on Amazon with watercolor exercises, I might order it. Just to get comfortable putting color on paper. They are just exercises...not finished pieces. I think it comes from when I was little not having lots of art supplies and using what we had so sparingly! Gotta "jump over that shadow" (as they say in German). Good advice friends, thank you!

I'm going to talk to BA tomorrow (joy of joys!). I can see that being an exercise in futility. But at the moment I'm thinking of packing them all up and couriering them in a big parcel out there. I am pretty sure the people I know sent them quite seperately from their own flights - ie via a courier company. Make sure you don't under value for insurance purposes!

"Personally I would just say it's fragile, it's worth millions and if they destroy it you'll have their livers for in-flight breakfast. tripods are necessary for long exposures! but you defnitely get better results with a camera bigger than the size of a credit card if you work with macro or longish exposure

I have been surprised though at the quality of the shots I get from my Lumix, but i wouldnt suggest it for someone who wants to really get into photography. I had a nicer cannon but it stopped processing correctly, so this is a nice compromise, I can take it running too!
