Hey, kje-- my grandfather is OK again, back at his excellent care facility, and they are not putting him on hospice because they found out about a thingy that they could sign which gives the (experianced) staff much wider discretion about when he can just be treated for stuff there. Turns out they HAD to call an ambulance for most little things; liability issue.

It was very hard for me to see him so ailing when we went back but I am SOOO glad I did! I have told my aunt to Get Me Out There if it looks like the end is nigh. I hope your dad can collect himself and go there. He'll regret it if he doesn't.

Have to agree. But after disuc=ssing it all with various relatives, it is my inmpression that here there is more empasis on the education. I seem to know as much as many nurses about SOME subjects through self-education. My aunt was appalled by some of the one at the hospital my grandfather just got out of.
