i must say that i am very pleased with our spud growing experiment this year We planted 3 seed potatoes into the bottom of 4 old compost bags, rolled the sides down and then as the little devils grew rolled the bags up and earthed up. Now the biggest in full of soil and the plants are a good 3-4 ft above the top of it

we have 36 tomato plants that are producing tomatoes and another 15 under wraps for late in the season - beans are a bit depressing - not grwoing well. But our biggest disappointment was the caulies on the allotment - we have replanted 3 times and each time somthing has eaten all the leaves!
