I found out on Wed. I have a large mass in may pelvis. It is being removed Wed. If it is cancer I will require chemo. We have a parrot. I had read some time ago that chemo might leach thru the skin, and would be toxic to my bird. Can you comment on that? Thanks My vet is on vacation & I don't know if he will be back in time to help

Really depends on the specific drugs they use, which will be determined by the type of tumor. i'd ask your doctor for more information on excretion of the chemo they choose.

radiation treatment, depending on what it is, might be a concern...but most radiation treatments for tumors aren't actually putting a radioactive substance in you, so unless they're doing something like radioactive iodine for a thyroid tumor.... i don't think it'd be a concern.
