hey, question - our 18-yr-old son has just the last 2 days been getting raging headaches in the lower back of his head, they come on fast and nearly incapacitate him. Not like him at all. We feared his newly acquired car might be leaking CO, took him into the E-room, they sent off a blood sample to test. Any other ideas?

rbud - a guy I work with is recovering form meningitis. He said the headache made him feel nearly paralyzed.

headache can cause nausea, esp. migraine. no temp. good, ibuprofen wouldn't knock it out if it were menengitis, so you can rest easy there. loss of energy?
