Timmy is undergoing a bone marrow transplant in an effort to beat his cancer. Sabrina + Ben are doing well. Mary's kids (the oldest 2, ages 5 and almost 9) are struggling a bit more--more realization that mary is really gone. I too am sad as we approach 1 yr since her death. I miss her so much.

BUN is less of a good prognostic indicator than Creat. a creat of 9 is pretty serious, at the high end of what is usually treatable. typically, i tell people that at that level, we can treat aggressively and usually see some response. much higher than that, and even with IV fluids and hospitalization we don't usually gain much.

Trif - since dry white's my tipple, I could drink it endlessly but never really liked red very much. It was vinegary. However, since Beloved has been here with his small stock of merlot or cabernet sauvigignon, I've developed a taste. Doesn't get you drunk so quickly but , due to the tannin, give you a hangover next day.
