When our kids were little, we were fishing in a boat on a lake "Up North" (MN expression) and a Night heron came flying over us and grabbed the little sunfish my son just caught right off the line! It was really impresive!

not at all! We were all just amazed that a bird would get that close to us (in the middle of the lake) and that he would do that! One of our coolest memories from that trip!

We see a lot of bald eagles around this area too. I was driving my son to work last weekend (his car broke down on the freeway) and there was a bald eagle on a high light post overlooking a busy part of the freeway (which is under construction)

They are beautiful. There is a spot along the Mississippi River about 50 miles south of the Twin Cities where they gather pretty much all year; but to watch 50 or 60 along that area in the winter, walking on the ice and fishing in the open water --it takes your breath away

We have more red squirrels than grey, and many chipmunks. I enjoy watching all of them. They are now eating their way into my pumpkins set on the front deck. One I witnessed a squirell exit from inside a pumpkin!

Yes, on Sept 29th--a local, rural pediatric group, that I worked at from '88-'94. The practice has changed because the community hospital no longer has an OB Dept and the ER docs take care of kids. I got burned out and therefore left 15 yrs ago. Now it is perfect for me.
