my husband's gp sent him to to cardiolgist for a consult on Friday morning, by 8:30 am he had been given a stress test, by 12:00 noon he had had an angiogram and the doctors decided he needed bi-pass surgery. On Sunday morning he was airlifted to Victoria and at 1:00 pm on Monday he was wheeled into surgery -- a quintuple bipass. Now that is great medical service.

on the other hand, when it was clear that my husband was dying the doctor who had begun his career in Great Britain told me that since dialysis machines were sometimes in short supply due to government restrictions people were often brought back at the very last minute before they died from kidney failure and so he could tell me that stopping my husband's dialysis would be a good way for him to die peacefully
