i once went to a christmas eve midnight service where they had that idea about remembering those who went before - but they listed them all by name, and let me tell you, for a small church it was a very long list - there must have been at least 4x as many dead people on there as there were living people attending the service. it took like a half an hour to read all the names aloud. guess it just goes to show you can have too much of a good thing.
