No he was taking lessons to become a snare drummer and after a year they asked me to signup as a tenor drummer - the one that twirls the drumsticks dramatically to show we are not as talented as the tenot drummers. We both got good enough to perform for one year but I found it too stressful to be in parades and he gave it up.

it is a rather silly system. I have been ill for years on end now, have seen lots of doctors and am now having good treatment. Will be many more years before I can function reasonably again, we all agree. But for the benefit some strange doctor will speak with me for a little while, check my body, and give judgement.
