my favorite though is going into some little lake in algonquin park,one you have to fly onto woth the canoe strapped between the pontoons of the plane,you get dropped off just before dawn,and as you glide out into the lake and its tributarys the mist begins to move and break up on the surface,the only sound you hear is the water droplets raining off the paddle.suddenly as the first touch of sunlight warms your face,the mist rises up on the water and a loon calls...perfection....sorry corossy rambles..lol

Earlier, we watched the documentary 'Earth Without The Moon' that I'd SKYplussed from National Geographic channel. It would have been good if they'd cut out all the reiterating,'cos TV people think we are all morons with the attention spans of goldfish now, but in between all the crap and the graphics they just can't seem to help themselves from including now was some interesting information. Having said that, the only thing I learned from the programme was exactly how the tides work. I knew the sun was going to engulf us before the moon moved far enough away to cause problems.
