I was going for my PhD interview at Bristol. Got into Temple Meads station, went to the loo, had a huge panic attack, staggered out of the loo, went to the basins to wash my face, smacked the back of my head on the tap, thought ow, and carried on. Got through the day - just - got back home, literally collapsed, and ended up in hospital for 3 days with severe concussion. And got the PhD place!
