It was very bad but now that he's doing so well I can face how much worse it could have been. He's alive, it wasn't his head or his spine, it was one leg instead of both, and he will be OK. It doesn't hurt anymore and he's over the trauma, even wants to make a book so other kids can learn about not running into the street. His leg is weak but that's just muscles and it'll build back over the coming months, and he has scars but none of us care.

my concern, as a parent of a child with chronic health problems is that when he is no longer eligible for our insurance, where will he get the care he needs if he, like so many young people starting out doesn't work for an employer with comprehensive health coverage? One concern that I do have is that at the moment government reimbursement rates to docs for services under medicare often aren't keeping up with actual co5 to the docs and some docs are dropping service to those patients. I would like to see a provision that corrects this problem. But I haven't (obviously) had a chance to look at any of this legislation.

my mother was shocked to hear i favour universal care, and pointed out i lived with it in Spain while i was there, and found it quite satisfactory, and never a bill, even as a non-national!
