the real stressor came this morning when the state HR dept put out a bulletin that said our 2.75% performance pay was going away, even though I'm in an office headed by an elected offical and we were supposed to be exempt according to the legislation just signed. Mom, was he unable to inject himself? I'm allergic to bee stings too and back in the day the "bee sting kit" came with a little pre-filled syringe you had to give it a quarter turn so it would work. I tried to inject myself (after a sting) and couldn't. I had to pull it out and have my dtr. inject me (she was about 10 or so at the time)

This is an epi pen syringe - you take the cap off and have to slam it hard for it to get deep enough. He got stung while we were on our boat - 20 minutes out on a lake. I drove back as fast as I could. By the time we got to camp he could hardly breath. No time for him to do it.
