Actually, next year is looking good. There is a program called Engliyada, where Clevelanders volunteer in Beit She'an to teach ESL. I had heard tho, that they were only taking persons under 45. Turns out the winter session is for under 45s, and the summer session (110 in the shade!) is for all ages. Our local federation sponsors and all I need to come up with is airfare.

That's good to know. It's pretty intense, 5-8 pm 5 or 6 nights a week plus class prep. They do take us on day trips, tho, from time to time. I may try to stay beyond the tutoring time. Since I will no longer have a kid's schol schedule to work around, things bevome much more doable. My neighbor is from a moshav called Tirosh - her parents came from Morocco - and we've talked about bumming around together.

Junior and senior prom, though they are both juniors....the location this year was beautiful -- a country club sort of place, right on Quincy Harbor, with a huge balcony overlooking the water. They had amazing, warm weather, so it was great. I was glad they went in the limo, as I knew they would be safe driving that way.
