I'm not that close to my Dad, but I have to admit he's amazing. He's been very lucky--mentally still very sharp. Congenital heart failure will eventually get him, but he's remarkable. Stillbaking bread from scratch--including the tiresome kneading part--he doesn't believe in food processors, and shoppping, and thinking of interesting meals and firing off irate letters to the SEC. (He was a broker)
