our peonies started to open while I was away and they are the stars of the garden. It took them several years to get established (planted upside-down perhaps?) but they've been vigorous ever since. We even divided them two years ago and the new plants are as prolific as the old ones!

when my daughter was 13, she had a "friend" who was too precocious and I put my foot down and said she couldn't hang with her. During an argument about this "friend"; my dear daughter grabbed a bottle of Sudafed and poured them down her throat! But she wasn't aware she did it and it was right in front of me (she's ADHD). Off to the emergency dept. after I had her drink Ipecec(sp?); overnight in peds ICU, and 4 days in a locked psych ward straightened her right up!
