september is my favorite,you wear a light jacket or sweater till 11 am or so and then it comes off,the leaves on our maple tree turn colours as the hardwood tree display their fall dress for us and the wind off the water scrubs the air so clean,you can see for miles across the bay and it put a dab of rouge in my ladies cheeks as the leaves fall in her long hair...

Hi all. Just wanted to say, I may have told this story before, that when my Mum went to collect my Dad's ashes, she didn't tell me and went down the village alone to get them. She took a shopping basket to put the red plastic 'urn' (more like a big coffee jar) in. She also needed to get a loaf of bread, so did so and popped it on top of my Dad's remains. As she was waiting to go over the zebra crossing, someone she vaguely knew came up and asked, 'How's your husband doing?' She had this tremendous urge to say, 'Well, he's dead, actually, but if ou want to see him, he's here under this loaf.'

Jellen - when you get back - as for nagging him or 'talking to him', as we women would call it - you can do that whether he's in his urn with you or scattered/buried. Men! They think they escape us through death, but they don't. Love keeps them coming back to keep an eye on things, to make sure we're okay and not 'making a mess of things'. You just wait until you are trying to do something that Tim would have known all about or how to do... he'll find a way of helping you.

The one think the Masai do do, unlike other tribes, is to be Western enough to make money from tourists ad allow themselves to be filmed to bfring in more tourists. They also don't care if they bathe in and their cattle drink in the only available waterhole for other tribes. I don't have much time for the Masai, because they think themselves abvoe other tribes/neighbours.

I get to see a number of teacher candidates working during the year ... you can always tell the ones who have two or three years of life outside of the school system from those who have spent their entire life in school
