I wake up very early in the morning, commute an hour in to the office, sit at my desk for 8 hours doing nothing, and commute another hour home. I have lots of chores/errands/work that I should be doing at home, but by the time I get there, I am too tired from doing nothing at my job all day to get anything done. So basically I do nothing all day long.
I propose that, while there is no work for me to do in the office, you allow me to stay home so I can at least complete the things I have to do there. You continue to pay me my salary, and you just let me know when there is actually something for me to do -- then I will return to the office.
