dose..as a custodian.. it is not JUST an issue of "taking my work". Given the chemicals that we use (and are required to have training, WHMIS etc) how many parents - who are already expecting teachers to do the job of raising their kids - are going to sign off on a waiver sheet. Also, the children , because of the nature of their "punishment" are then being supervised by a custodian - who has no authority, nor protection under the school board (legally speaking) to do so

I have 3 granddaughters who have graduated or are close to graduation from high school. 2 of them still use their fingers to add and subract and have to use a calculator if multiplication or division is involved. I think that is a very sad commentary on today's education program. At one time a student would never have got past grade 5 without those basic math facts at their fingertips. hi, all. just wanted to let you know my mother has made it through her surgery, and will be in intensive care for a bit, which is standard, then she will be in the hospital for about a week. the doctors believe they got all of the cancer. praise God, she will be fine.
