She had been battling liver disease but died before she was able to have a transplant. Her stepfather contacted me this afternoon to let me know. I've not talked about this in babble because FM was very private about health matters etc and asked that I not discuss it. She did ask for some babblers to be kept informed and they've been very good in sending cards etc to the hospital. I was able to speak to her on the phone regularly - the last time to let her know about Spangle - and I just hoped against hope that she would pull through.
