This Lions' Club has women members too but mostly men, I think. They do wonders here in many ways. This turkey dinner is just one of them. It's free, but donations for the Food Bank are welcome. Volunteers do the cooking and Girl Guides and Brownies do the serving for the sit-down dinner, held at the local Legion.

Yeah, it was kind of fun. Most of them were long out of print, and it was interesting/scary to see how cheap they were compared to academic books now. Nef...hope the laminectomy works well for him. My hubby had that and it has been like a miracle for him. He couldn't walk 10 yards without having to sit down because of the pain. Now he can walk a couple of miles. No pain...just needs to build up his stamina again
