no news on Max, so I fear that he's dead under some hedge or bush somewhere, probably won't be found 'til Spring but, because we've been so terribly sad, I contacted our "chow friend" in Italy to look around for a mall pup and she may have found one. He will be 3 months old mid-March and the hopefulness of that has made us both stop crying.

sue, I don't know if this will help you, but it always helps me no end when I get a bit of poison ivy -- run your hand under the hottest water you can stand - it will literally feel like you are scratching it, for a minute. When you start to feel like it's too hot, take your hand out.
