okay, will post this here also for those who are not my facebook acquaintances: Just had a call from a person saying that our computers that run Windows have been having trouble. I knew instantly that it was a scam, because only one of the computers in our home (we have several) runs Windows. The person had an accent that sounded like he came originally from the Indian subcontinent. NOTE: NO company cold-calls people to "help" them with their computers!!!! If you get a call like this, under no circumstance should you give them any information about yourself, your computers, or, heavens forbid, bank information. When I asked who he worked for (which he had given the name of an organization but I didn't catch it), he hung up on me. ONE MORE TIME: BE ALERT!
