In this country, so often tribes were herded to locations that were inadequate to meet their needs, or not part of their homelands. And then they made the children leave their families and not speak their language -- not even their true names. It was shameful. I am glad that our local people at least are reclaiming their language and culture. We have enjoyed seeing the local people do better financially now that they have the casino, originally a number of different villages were crammed onto a single island that didn't even have fresh water on it. Shameful.
