no grannyrose, my hip pulls out of the socket. The bone structure (at least when MRI done three years ago) is perfect. But I feel it move, then have limited range of motion and extreme pain when I step on it. So... the orthopedic docs don't really believe me. But I am thinking I might ask for a cortisone shot again. That's about the only thing other than being very very lucky and careful about my activities.

I have very good posture actually when the hip is in the socket. When it isn't my low back is way out of whack. But I haven't had my feet checked in a couple decades (pregnancy made my high arches fall)

There is no pain in my back, and sciatica (which I have on the other side) is a completely other location and type of pain.

I was born with hip dysplasia, but like I said the brannach device (sp?) worked for me and so the bone structures are perfect. The hip used to move in and out freely, but since I had kids it gets stuck in the out position. I used to have very bad knees, particularly on the same side as the hip, but that was solved when I was pregnant. Not sure how...

A few years ago, visiting B.C. without Tom (who can reset my hip) it went out and was out for several days until I got home. It's been really bad since then.

stid, I had a hip that went out all the time and after going through all kinds of doctors and tests a chiropractor sent me to rehab pilates. not a class but an individual who specialized in rehab pilates. she was a life saver for me. diagnosed an imbalance in the muscles that had started long ago and gotten worse. After a while with her I am totally fine now. it was so worth it! rehab pilates people are had to find, and I don't know where you are, but here on the west coast of the US there are at least some people with that skill.
