No, dee, this was just a little punch biopsy, 2 stitches. The other was a much bigger incision and tissue removal. October's surgery will be a bigger deal with a skin graft. All with local anaestheic.

My therapist gave me a card with these coping tips. They take some practice but have been helpful.

Coping With Anxiety and Panic

6. Stay in the present. Be aware of what is happening to you rather than concern yourself with how much worse it might get.

they have come a long way since my first cataract surgery. You wear your street clothes and the actual surgery is about 15 minutes. Drops were used to numb the eye, not even a shiot.

Hello again - just want to add my 2 cents worth - had the surgery 2 years ago, one at a time - couple of months between, have been amazed at how much clearer everything is. Wear a 1.5 lense for computer work, 2.5 for reading, otherwise no glasses.
