It's my experience that I have going for me right now. I worked at the Wall Street Journal until I was laid off. I have several published article credits. But the competition for jobs in the NYC area is difficult because there are many librarians/researchers here without jobs. i did work at a public library but that experience showed me that public libraries are not the best place for me. I'm not a customer service person--it took me months to learn how to use the register to make change for fines, photocopiers, etc.

So many are told they must make changes to get better ..... but they need help identifying what needs to be changed, how to go about it, and what is the change goal .... people want a better life but have never thought about what they want that better life to be .... what purpose will bring about more meaning and satisfaction

BR, i have 2 very dear friends who are like you, and one thing i cannot stand is how some well-intentioned peeps tell them , that all they have to do is this or that...how can they, when it is a major decision to get out of bed each morning. sometimes i could scream with frustration.

I have been to at least 15 different professionals and tried over twenty different medications .... some of the therapists have walked out in the middle of a session telling me I do not have a personality conducive to therapy ... and the psychiatrists tell me I can stop the medications because the placebo effect is at least as great as the chemicals.
