so...not wishing to be a downer (or dramatic!), but I has a sad... had to take our little dog in today, poor little thing was blind, deaf, and could barely walk any more... I was having to carry her everywhere, and she was coughing and fainting and then puddling a dozen times a day, the pills weren't working any more. I'll miss her, but she was around 18 years old, and it was time. couldn't stand to see her confused, lost, crippled, and embarrassed any more.

Hullo all & on the way out as usual since my work station is getting busy: checked back in the chog tonite to find total # of words since Lickety wasn't up (my minimum goal is always a-half-plus-one) and found the post from Fauxmage. I'm used to convoluted garbage, having been for many years a "reader" for a publishing house, and I can say that this was one of the best. (not a compliment) Ruru made sense; Mr/Ms Faux doesn't. But the post does -- highly manipulatively -- attempt to engender negative feelings in genuine Babblers once more. I hope you will all ignore it. You are good people and don't deserve this.

hi, all. I am so worn out and in shock. My eldest brother passed away this afternoon. My parents, my middle brother and a family friend were at the hospital with him and my brother and I held his hands and comforted him as he passed. He had been sick for a long time, with emphysema, and he had double pneumonia when my parents took him to the hospital ten days ago; he was on a ventilator for a few days, then he improved a bit and the breathing tube was removed. The nurses called today to say he was back on the ventilator. I was in town doing some shopping when I got the call to come quickly to the hospital, so I went. We made the decision as a family to have the ventilator removed, because the doctor told us he would need to be on it for the rest of his life, and his organs had begun to fail due to the stress from his lungs, and he would not have any qulaity of life. My brother Ted and I were holdin his hands and comforting him when he passed, and his passing was peaceful; for that I am very grateful, and I am glad I was able to be with him at the end. I will miss him greatly, and I was so blessed to be his big sister.
