I had a contract phone with a big telecommunications provider here for years. When my domestic arrangements changed(euphamism for me being broke), I called them & said I no longer wanted a bill, & could I revert back to pay as you go. Ok they said. I topped up my phone about twice, and noticed that I seemed to be getting great mileage out of a tenner's worth of credit. I checked my balance. It was zero. I attempted to make a call, it went through, and from that day to this, I've never topped up with credit, never got a bill, and my phone continues to make calls!! Magic!!
