Granny, I have an aged friend who is having aknee replacedment in the next few days. I don't think she's aware of the aftercare needed, and all the rhab and pain you've been through.

A friend of mine had her first partial knee replacement in january and is having the other knee done next month! it takes quite a while to recover and she was very dependent on people for the first few weeks after surgery.

Granny, I didn't want to scare her -- I hope her positive thinking will help her. I don't know her all that well, and I don't know just how old she is, but I think although she may be younger than I am, the years don't count and she seems much frailer.

jilli, there is a web site...delphi forum....it is for people who have had or about to have total knee replacement. your friend could talk to others who have been through this procedure. i found it very informative and supportive.

well, i must admit where we live we seem to have got away with alot.we get the snow, it settles and then goes and then more snow comes but it's too wet so it doesn't.with what the waeather channel has told us we should be upto 12-16 inches of snow, but nowt so i'm happy :)
