My best friend of 44 years has a mother who has retinitis pigmentosa and is suffering...cannot even see what is on TV most of the time even though she has a magnifier. She is 84. Such a hardship. My friend even has to change channels for her to listen to TV since she can't see well enough to change channels on the remote. Time to be grateful for what we have, right? My children would just put me in a home and forget me....frightening. Would end it before that ever happened. Oh, no perfume. The solid ones I used to have are gone, of course. And the custom in this area is to wear very little scent because so many people have trouble with it.

I am supposedly a spring, but I look really good in black! Usually I put "jewel tones" with it so they pop. I like browns and blues, too -- but it's hard to get those to "match" from year to year. Black is relatively stable as a dye.

oh, it's a matter of looking at what clothes you get compliments on how well you look when you wear them, analyzing them for the hue and tone (yellow/gold vs. blue/silver -- the former indicate spring/fall and the latter summer/winter)

It works really well for some people, but in the end, if you wear what makes you happy -- and what people think makes you look good -- then you are fine. I remember going to stores with color swatches in my purse. Kept several even up to now, but they were in the house so now I don't have them any more.
