The biggest part of our entertaining should be over... a few small dinners out planned, but no more major cooking for me :). Yeah, a couple, ru.. passed pretty quickly - I took a few time outs. Ellie was great, even when the bratty boy got into her face... she didn't even nip at him, and our son-in-law was so great - monitored Ellie closely just to be sure there were no issues.

Hubby did really well corralling the kids; he even managed to find some of our daughter's old toys in the unpacked basement - Barbies, Leggos, Lincoln Logs. He also cajoled them into picking up by offering the opening of presents, so I didn't have to pick up one toy... I truly appreciated that!

I did have to chuckle though... several pre - menopausal ladies... opened a few windows and doors for "flash" moments... really laughed about that. One age 13; 4 under the age of 5.

We discovered our basement is perfect for kids... not much to hurt down there and several very large open spaces; one carpeted area where they played, but still could be monitored...

Worked out better than I imagined, but I did discover I have become more of an introvert ... they were here from about 10:45 AM until 9 PM, and I truly could not wait for everyone to leave... much too long of a day for me.

speaking of dogs and brats - I recall once my sister was visiting with her then-about-5-yr-old son, (her only child). He cornered our little dog and tried to take a bone from her (she'd just gotten it). She nipped him (very minor), major tears, sis got all indignant demanding the "vicious animal" needed to be put down... I laughed at her.

I have come to the conclusion that a lot of kids' bad behavior is because parents are just plain lazy and don't want to be bothered with discipline. The little boy actually stomped a foot, screamed at his mum and got away with it. I had to find work to do in the kitchen, so I didn't say something stern to the mom... it is craziness.

I am sure it did. Supposedly, one is predisposed genetically to the arthritises. RA is often triggered then by a virus, which they think I encountered in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1995. Once triggered the disease takes off. That is really too bad, ru. Is your brother older or younger?

I made a de4/5 in this grid at work and came home and finished the rest.Now I will write a story of clues for you to re 4/5 as I of5/16 do. I am a teacher and got te6/21 my fi5/24 year of teaching in NY.It took me a long time to get it because I had a few very bad observations. I dr 5/14ed it every single time Principal came to my room.
