Cook for about four hours with vegetables, saly, pepper, thyme, dill. Strain, discard all bones and vegetables, suck on the neck meat when no-one is looking. THEN I make soup from the stock, adding fresh vegetables and meat. I cook the noodles separately. It's an event.

Frank and I met when we were in high school - we went to different schools, but my school was hosting the state cross country meet, and one of his friends was running. I'd volunteered to be one of the people showing the visiting teams the course. He started chatting me up and we dated through the rest of my senior year and into my freshman year of college.
