Thanks, Liz and VMD. I think it will go OK. I had just initiated case management for him from what I consider to be my area's best provider, and they are already talking to the hospital. He may be discharged directly to one of their group homes, some of which are in or near our neighborhood.

Rose I am allergic to so many meds that any new things I have to be in the doctor's office to begin taking; I have had five anaphylactic reactions to various drugs and foods, etc. in the past and do not try any new drugs. I am trying to alter my diet to allow for natural healing as much as possible. I will write down the two you have listed and see if I can take them. I will try just about anything to help the pain.

Okay enough doom and gloom. This is all so new to me. I go to UPMC, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, which is composed of five hospitals and research facilities. I have specialists reviewing all my tests, etc. This has just been diagnosed in the past few months so I think it will get better once all is known about what I have.

I am close to saying my oohs & aa 4/5s over fireworks so now here is a story of clues.I watched the stars as they walked down the pa4/5 of the red carpet for the GG Awards. Also can't believe Meryl Streep did not win. Streep got na 4/5! I am not surprised Woody Allen didn't make an appearance. He has never showed up for awards shows in the pa 4/5. It sa 7/36 me people believe he deserves the Cecile B. Demille Award. Woody Allen is definitely no sa 5/10! we had a leak from the local landfill a couple of days ago that sent a bunch of kids to the hospital (they are all ok), and Frank had to go to a meeting tonight to discuss it since he is on the county board, so he was telling me all about it - lots of anxious and worried people

mostly it was just bad smells, but it was bad enough that a bunch of kids and teachers got sick - the school is about 1/4 mile from the landfill

so they had people from Waste Management there (they own the landfill), and the Illinois EPA, and the school board, and the county board, and a ton of parents - Frank said people had strong feelings but it stayed civil, which is good

they were digging a trench in the landfill and hit a pocket of decaying stinky stuff; the wind was blowing towards the school at the time

so the waste management guy said they wouldn't do that any more when the wind was blowing that way

but the county signed an agreement a couple of years ago to expand the landfill, and take in trash from neighboring counties, and people are not happy about it; this wasn't related to that, just normal operation of the existing landfill

Was the landfill there before the school was built? Building a school that close to a landfill is a questionable decision .... the same questionability if the landfill was allowed that close to a school. Waste Management spent a lot of time in court in my area for EPA violations
