ruby one thing I noticed as a stamp collector that US stamps, predominantly, were so cheap to get hold of - even the old ones, mainly because they were in such abundance. UK stamps, on the other hand, fetch ridiculous prices. Even some stamps from the 30s and 40s are worth stupid money but some serious collectors are willing to pay.
