pink, it's really weird. my brain blocks the pain messages, i felt very hot, sweat pouring off me and nausea +++. my body's reaction to pain at the moment. so i backed right off, started with just one hour, and only increasing in 1/2 hour increments every few weeks.

They were ready to go pretty quick, but because we had to figure out how to pay off the horrible mortgage company that had bought our original mortgage and then arrange all-new financing for construction, that took US about two extra months. And the contractor delayed at the early part too, which cost us another couple of months. We got a GREAT interest rate, but only just got under the wire with the original quote. Meanwhile, the insurance company decided that because we were putting in a stick-built house instead of another manufactured home they would only pay for four months of additional expenses. It was an eye-opener for us. We should, perhaps, have asked a lot more questions early on.

:-D It is very pretty. But there was an issue with the caulk so I had to remove it and waiting for the new caulk to dry. By the end of the weekend it should be useable again. Plus side: I get better and better at grouting and caulking the more I practice!

I was going to write a blog post before I went to bed but I think I'll leave it until Sunday to do now. The essence of it is that I discovered that nipping over to my local store for half a cucumber an hour before the kick-off the the England vs Uruguay match wasn't the wisest of ideas. The store was full of men buying last-minute supplies of beer and crisps... and all I could find was one absolutely massive cucumber. It was really round and fat, and nearly 2 foot long. I wanted it cut in half and I wanted the fat end (because the thin end, the stalk end, always goes off quicker). I was served by a man and had about 7 men behind me in the queue, every one of which was dying to say something... and bursting to laugh... but it's not 'PC' to do that these days. I was quite amused to witness their heroic struggling and very glad that no one's brains burst through their ears from suppressing it all.
