cataracts is the word, I think. I have lovely coloured lights that alter the colours I see. Orange can become a muddy brown and so on. In my left eye I have a curtain of blue that comes across about a third of my vision. I have pink swirls that become granular as they fade in both eyes and, at the moment, a bright pink 'doughnut'in the right eye with a lovely silver edge to it. They don't fade when I close my eyes so I have a lovely firework display to send me to sleep.

They test for glaucoma when you get your eyes tested. It is a pressure problem. You can go blind if you leave that too long.

Best for your cat, trif. If the leg isn't broken, maybe you can learn to do dressing changes? I did that with one of ours who got an abcess from a cat claw wound - handled the drain and the dressings and cut the bills a lot.

would someone pass on to Penquis (email or next time you see name on Babble) that stopping the touchy touchpad to enable the mouse can be, I think, done by going to Control Panel, under Mouse, select Mouse Properties which displays the name of the touchpad (confusing huh!), look for box that says something like "Disable when external USB pointing device -- i.e., the mouse -- plug in" Reboot.

I am finally starting to make progress. I thought it was just the end of year virus that was slowing me down, but I think it's actually just the really big relief of being home. Now that I am relaxed about never actually getting through all of the boxes and papers before I file them, I am able to make some progress.
