it is funny. When public money was requested to help with a new parking lot on the far side of town our Councillors had to work like mad dogs to get it, but when it was found that the new library budget was going to fall short by 5 million dollars, it was raised in less than 2 months with nary a complaint:). it is a beautiful building with our town archives safely stored within it as well as having a green roof/ reading area on top of it:)
