Should not be as big a surgery as the last time, but they will not know for sure until they cut it open, but Dr said looks like not very deep into the skin tissue.

yeah. MIL had one on her forearm. gp cut it out, but did not clear the margins. MIL decided to let it come back if that was what was to be. scc doesn't usually invade the body, like melanoma. perhaps check that fact out, mel. imho, scc is not a real biggie.
