I have been hard at work the last day or so resurrecting a ten-year old computer I have had sitting in a storage closet. Am testing it now, and it is a fine computer overall, but it is shocking at what we once deemed a fast computer. I had to hunt down legacy drivers for the video card so it would play games, and the 24- bit on-board sound had to have the same treatment with legacy drivers to function correctly. Also, it is interesting how fast we have all gotten used to multi-tabbed browsing with nary a hiccup. heaven help us if there is a stutter these days, but with this old girl, it is one on-line task at a time.
