Thanks, Liz. We've had great holidays, amidst a few road bumps. Hubby passed a kidney stone and a favorite uncle died after a long battle with cancer. Had company for Christmas and New Year's, thought, which was great!

How did your Christmas go did you have family around or was it just the two of you?

we celebrated christmas with just the two of us. still a little flat over what happened last year. but boxing day was great. had a lovely picnic in the park with my side of the family. 11 adults, 1 soon-to-be adult and 7 kids. it was chaotic and thoroughly delightful.

new years eve - valentine and I went out the the local pub. ran into a casual friend, who is well known for having NO filter....this guy asks us "so hey - does he sleep over your house, like, when you kids are home?" Sorry, not following the chog with any great precision today. Here in south sound we have drizzle but no flakes, no slush. Fire in fireplace, though.

Fireplace sounds great, stidgemere, but we have a burn ban going on up north. Still though, we have our Christmas lights lit and it's warm and cozy... and my beloved is making beef burgundy in the slow cooker. He is an excellent chef (he taught me to cook :)
