Frances, I have never had that happen, but you can adjust your volume settings, by clicking on the little speaker in the bottom right of the task bar then when the volume slider pops up, click on the speaker picture on top of the volume slider. All volume settings can be found there

We live in a tiny apartment, but this building has this amazing lounge room that the tenants can book. It has tables, chairs couches, a bookcase full of books, a fridge and a sink for cleaning up. It is very cozy. I can set us all up in there for a nice brunch with all the trimmings:) You will have to let me know when you are near enough for me to come and get you two for the day.
