My daughter who lives in Maine is on a road trip with a friend (and the friend's dog!) to visit friends in Ann Arbor, but I just got a sweet email -- and when I got home from transporting 3 rescue pups yesterday, a pkge was waiting for me from her -- a lovely card and a loaf of homemade blueberry bread she had made with berries she picked herself -- love my precious girl :-)

I'd recommend a nice zinfandel.. a nice moderate one is the 2012 or 13 Seghesio Sonoma County Zin (comes in half bottles too) should be $15 or less in 750 .. probably about $10 in a half bottle. It would be great with snacks. really tasty stuff.. also the 2013 Domaine de la Solitude Cotes du Rhone would work.. be about $12-$14 I also really like the Georges Duboeuf Fleurie 13 too
