my interview went great yesterday. Very nice people, good and solid organisation, volunteers stay active for very long, some even for more than 25 years. Personel too. That is always a good sign.

I spoke with the office manager and the trainer. It was a good and fun talk, we all enjoyed it. And lol, at some point the trainer was leafing through my application form and she held it up, and I could read a note on the back side which said: "Sounds NICE!". Probably written during our telephone convo. Made me feel very good.

at the end they said they always postpone the decision until the day after, so I will get a phonecall today to hear if they want me to start the training. During the training, both parties still can decide it isn't a good fit. Once it is final, I have to stay on for at least a year because of the intensive training... very reasonable, I think

one shift of 4 hours a week, and once a month a nightshift, also 4 hours. If I would be willing to do a second night shift a month, they would be even happier with me. I told them no problem. It will relieve someone of the oldtimers who are becoming too old for a night shift.

the info meeting in the hospital was good too. Very informative, and very positive. Best thing is, she told us they almost never turn somebody down. Only if it is too dangerous. But otherwise, the decision is either YES, or YES BUT FIRST.... Makes it a whole bit less stressful for me.

It is a tough go at time, ruby, However, i take all my problems and make a mental compartment for each, and I line up those compartment in order of seriousness. Once I have done that I only open those that must be dealt with that day. I Do not guess possible outcomes of issues that may or may not happen in the future. there are a million possabilities in life, and millions upon millions of second between now and then. I cannot change or alter what the future may bring, nor can i change the past as it is written in stone. I take care of what must be taken care of--today, and today only, otherwise, I would despair.
